Forever noon

a twilight Saga original musical parody

Music by Fernanda Douglas

Book and Lyrics by Lisa Mongillo and Danielle Smith

Forever Noon
is a darkly funny reimagining of the entire Twilight franchise. With a lush, pop-infused original score and a subversive book, the show sinks its teeth into Twilight’s melodrama, Mormon-coded subtext, and undying afterlife. It’s a fever dream with a meta twist and unexpected heart.

We begin by tumbling through the Saga’s most iconic moments with increasing insanity, as the characters strain against the boxes their creator — mother Stephenie Meyer — has put them in. But when mysterious forces pull present-day actors Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson back into the world of Twilight, the critically-loathed franchise they’ve tried to outgrow, they see a chance to reshape it into the kind of strange, A24-adjacent art film they’d actually be proud to reference in interviews. Will they succeed? Probably not. But in the chaos, they — and all of us — might discover a new way to look at Twilight. Or not. Either way, it’ll be fun!

Forever Noon was developed through a series of artistic retreats with support from the Pendragon Theater. The show was most recently seen in a sold-out reading at Littlefield in Brooklyn, featuring Broadway’s Imani Russell and viral comedian Marcia Belsky. Additional dates at a new venue to be announced!
